ACCOMMODATIONS

Transportation

Regional airports include Dulles Airport (IAD), Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI), and Reagan National Airport (DCA).  The airport closest to the conference is the Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA).

Ronald Reagan Airport (DCA)

The Washington, DC Metrorail system has an elevated Metrorail station connected to the concourse level of Terminals B and C at Reagan National Airport. Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

With direct service to Metro’s Silver Line, the Silver Line Express Bus provides a convenient, economical connection between the Dulles Main Terminal and the Silver Line’s Wiehle-Reston East Metrorail station, about 15 minutes away. IAD Metrorail Service Web page.

Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI)

There are several transportation options from BWI including taxi, local rail, shuttle, bus, and car rental.BWI Transportation Web page.

Ground Transportation

The DC Metro station closest to the hotel is MT Vernon Sq/7th St-Convention Center Metro Station on the Green/Yellow lines.

The DC Metro station closest to the venue at Howard University is the Shaw-Howard University Metro Station on the Green/Yellow lines.

Parking

Interdisciplinary Research Building (IRB), Howard University: There is parking available for $10/day in a lot across the street from the IRB. Once you pay the fee upon entering the lot you will receive a parking pass from the attendant.  The attendant booth is staffed from 6am-6pm on weekends.

Cambria Hotel Parking: $45.00 per day inclusive of tax with in/out privileges.

Shuttle Service

Shuttle Service to/from the Cambria Hotel and IRB: Free shuttle service will be provided from the Cambria Hotel to the IRB at the following times:

Friday, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm: There will be three pick-ups, every 30 mins, to transport attendees to the IRB.
Friday, 8:00 pm – 9:15 pm: The shuttle will transport attendees to the Cambria Hotel.
Saturday, 7:15 am – 8:15 am: There will be three pick-ups, every 30 mins, to transport attendees to the IRB.
Saturday, 8:00 pm – 9:15 pm: The shuttle will transport attendees to the Cambria Hotel.
Sunday, 7:15 am – 8:15 am: There will be three pick-ups, every 30 mins, to transport attendees to the IRB.  Hotel guests may wish to check out. There will be no return service to the hotel at the end of the conference.
