What is the event about?
The Summit is a two-day residential Leadership Intensive for women in technical roles — senior individual contributors, staff and principal engineers, and engineering managers. The program is built on the premise that sustained technical judgment is a physiological and social achievement, not only an intellectual one. For more details, see our Why now? page.
When and where will the event take place?
The event is in person in Atlanta, GA, November 6–8, 2026. Attendees are encouraged to attend the welcome reception on Friday, but it is not required. Attendees will need to arrive by Friday night. Attendees will be transported to the airport on Sunday, so your flights should have a departure time of 4p or later.
How can I register for the event, and what is covered?
Select your rate in the Registration section below. There are two: a standard rate of $750, open to everyone, and a member rate of $500 for members of our 2026 pilot membership. Everyone who registers at the standard rate will receive a discount on membership when it opens to new members in 2027, as thanks for joining us early.
Registration covers professional development curriculum (2 workshops), food and lodging from Friday through Sunday, transportation to and from the Summit venue on Saturday, and transportation to the airport on Sunday. Attendees will be required to cover their round-trip travel to Atlanta and travel to Friday's welcome dinner & reception, which is >10 mins from the hotel. Attendees will also be transported to the airport on Sunday, so your flights should have a departure time of 4p or later. Not flying into GA? Can my company pay for my registration?
You can absolutely have your company, employer, or sponsor pay for your registration. Reach out to events@blackcomputeHER.org with the subject, Please Send Invoice, with your request and the name of the person or people whose registration will be covered. We will send an invoice for payment.
How do I convince my employer to support my participation in this Summit?
First, have a look at our Why Now? page. If you'd like more information, we have a package that you can send your manager in support of your participation. This is a leadership development opportunity, which would generally fall under L&D, conference/travel, or ERG budgets.
What is your refund policy?
Please ensure you're able to attend this experience, since seats are limited and all sales are final.
Registration
The same weekend, the same room and the same curriculum, whichever rate you register choose. Our rates are substantially lower than comparable programs because we want this open to women across the full range of design and tech careers, from early-career engineers and designers to executives. That's on purpose.
