Julius Valentine Maina currently serves as a Partnership Specialist within the U.S. Census Bureau for the upcoming 2020 Decennial Census. In this role, he has been charged with developing creative strategies for educating the State on the importance of participating in the upcoming Census as well as increasing Census participation within traditionally hard to count populations in Maryland.
He also serves as the Chief of Staff for Janeya Griffin “The Commercializer” and Chief Impact Officer for Public Bloc.
Prior to these Roles Julius Valentine Maina worked as a Policy and Inclusive Innovation Specialist at the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA); First Year Instructor/Retention Advisor within the Earl G. Graves School of Business at Morgan State University and a First Year Assessment and Statistics Coordinator in the Office of the Provost at the University of Baltimore.
Mr. Maina holds a bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Methods (minor in Economics) from University of Maryland Baltimore-County and a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University. He attained his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
