Shana White is the Senior Associate of CS Equity & Justice Initiatives at the Kapor Center. She is a veteran educator who is in her sixteenth year in education, serving in both public and private schools as a teacher and instructional technology coach in metro Atlanta. Shana has received many accolades for her teaching and work, most recently being named a member of the Kapor Center Equitable Computer Science Advisory Board, 2019 Georgia Tech Diversity and Inclusion Fellow, 2019 CSTA Equity Fellow, 2017 Outstanding Ed.S Scholar in the Bagwell College of Education at Kennesaw State University for Instructional Technology, ASCD 2017 Emerging Leader, and 2016 PBS Lead Digital Innovator for Georgia. Shana received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. She earned her M.S. in Physical Education with a coaching leadership concentration from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Shana graduated with her Ed.S in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University in Marietta, GA in July 2016 and is state-certified in K12 computer science, K12 physical education/health, and instructional technology.
